Role Description and Expectations – Model Bartender / VIP Server / Shot Server / Beer Tub Host
General Summary:
Stoney’s Rockin’ Country is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for the positions of Model Bartenders, VIP Servers, Shot Servers, and Beer Tub Hosts. Positions will engage with guests and ensure an above-average guest experience. This description provides a basic overview of daily responsibilities. Additional tasks may be assigned as business evolves.
Reports to: Lead Bartender and General Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
– Follow all procedures within Stoney’s employee handbook.
– Follow all Nevada liquor compliance laws and ordinances.
– Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
– Participate in in-house modeling programs and photoshoots and pose for pictures as requested by management and company photographers.
– Ensure all local health department regulations are understood and followed.
– Review identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age.
– Adhere to updates in Stoney’s service manual and procedures.
– Bartenders: Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
– Dance on the bar top during prescribed songs and times.
– Servers and Beer Tub Hosts: Draw attention to shot service by whistle blowing periodically.
– Serve cocktails and beverages accurately according to Stoney’s procedures and recipe guidelines.
– Conduct daily pour tests before and after shifts.
– Manage the aesthetic of the bar top and club as needed.
– Greet guests with a warm “Welcome to Stoney’s” and thank them as they exit.
– Process customer payments utilizing company POS system.
– Wash and sanitize beer buckets and glassware.
– Prepare fruit for your shift and the subsequent shift.
– Clean stations and back bar bottles, ensuring they are wiped down and capped at the end of shifts.
– Complete all additional listed side work for your shift and location.
– Ensure bar and “well” are always stocked.
– Wipe down all service surfaces with proper sanitizer, changing it every two hours.
– Test chemical balance in dishwashers, triple sinks, and sanitizer buckets.
– Represent the Stoney’s brand to the highest standard online, in-person, etcetera.
– Represent the group at off-site events.
– Additional tasks, duties, and/or responsibilities as determined by managers.
Qualifications and Requirements:
– Strong knowledge of standard drink recipes and use of bar equipment.
– Proficient knowledge of spirits, wine and beer.
– Working knowledge of POS systems and item entry.
– Polished appearance and demeanor.
– Excellent customer service skills.
– Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
Certifications, Licenses and Regulations:
– Proof of eligibility to work in the United States – Driver’s License/ID card/US Passport/Resident Card, and Social Security Card.
– Ability to obtain Food Handler Card, Alcohol Awareness/TAM Card, Craft Card (Pour Card), Las Vegas Metro Card (Non-Gaming), Gaming Control Board (if also working at Stoney’s North Forty).

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this role, employees may be exposed to loud noises, a lot of movement, people and stimuli. Employees may also be required to help with off-premises events in which they may be exposed to outside weather conditions including (but not limited to) summer heat and winter cold. Although the interior space is air conditioned, there may be times when the temperature is warmer or colder inside based on the frequency with which doors are opened/closed and the number of people in the building changes. Noise levels may be higher during concerts, sound checks, and open club hours.
