Derek Jones

Hartford City Indiana’s own singer/songwriter, who arrived into Nashville just over six years ago. After completing his service to our country in the United States Navy in 2003, Derek picked up a guitar for the first time, and has never looked back. Since then he’s been filling the bars and honkytonks throughout Indiana and the Midwest & Midsouth, with his distinctive, signature-vocals & and a music style that’s country-rock with an outlaw lifestyle. Moving to Nashville has no doubt helped Derek fine-tune his songwriting skills. He’s written songs for a popular cable television series “Tailgate Adventures” on the Sportsman’s Channel and the theme song for “Fishers ATV World” on the Velocity Channel and NBCsports channel. Derek has had the privilege and opportunity of sharing the stage with a variety of great artists such as; David Allan Coe, Shooter Jennings, Billy Ray Cyrus, Tyler Farr, Alabama, Charlie Daniels, Blackberry Smoke, Saving  Abel and  Jamey Johnson, among others. In 2015 Derek was invited to step into “The Circle” and duet with Billy Ray Cyrus at the Grand Ole Opry. Derek also had the honor of stepping on stage at the 40th anniversary Charlie Daniels Volunteer Jam at Bridgestone Arena and perform “Some Gave All” with Billy Ray Cyrus. Derek also stepped into the studio with Billy Ray Cyrus and Joe Perry (Aerosmith) to re-cut a timeless classic “Tulsa Time” by Don Williams that you can hear on Cyrus’ new album “Thin Line” released in 2016. Derek is very passionate about his music and his performance and when you have the opportunity to experience his live performance, you’ll no doubt feel that passion as well.
