Claire Wright

If you’ve ever sat down with Northern California native and Nashville based singer/songwriter, Claire Wright, you know she is more than likely to welcome you in with a cold beer and a big ‘ol smile. “I just want to spread sunshine,” she often claims as her artist mission statement. And with original songs infusing elements of country, reggae, and feel good singer/songwriter, she does just that. Having grown in the foothills of the West Coast, a lot of her initial influences come from artists like Jack Johnson, The Dirty Heads, Colbie Caillat and more. Wright says that her sound as an artist started to mold from a very young age. She was enamored with Bob Marley’s music at the age of five with how positivity seeped through every note and has carried that with her since. She fell in love with how an entire lifestyle can be captured into one song. She found that same feeling later in life again at age 20, when she began to co-write with songwriters in Nashville. After a few year journey, moving to Southern California and finding herself in the So Cal music scene at 17th St Recording Studio, she began taking songwriting trips to Music City. Currently, Wright resides in Nashville, TN and spends her days writing songs and penning her story with some of the best co-writers in the industry. As she gears up to release her music with Universal Music Publishing Group Nashville, one can only imagine what is next for Claire. Stay tuned!
